What business couldn’t benefit from a listing on Yahoo! Local? Yahoo! recently launched a service called Yahoo! Local Listings that allows businesses to specify business name, address, phone number and more on Yahoo! Local search. The best part? It’s free! For $9.95 per month, you can also add to the listing a brief description of what your business does. This is probably a good expense for companies like mine that have a nondescript name like Rick Whittington Consulting. Unless your company name is something like “Joe’s Lawn Mower Repair,” a description will help communicate the services your business offers.
Approval takes between 3-5 business days and there’s no word yet on whether this might improve your search engine rankings on Yahoo!.
